Status effect dice are placed in the leftmost open position in your cooldown track. That is to say, they go to the right of all other dice in your cooldown track, as is normal for dice being placed in your cooldown.

Status effects section (p. 67 in rulebook) should say "leftmost" instead of "rightmost"
