As it relates to the broader policy change - please read the below carefully, as it is absolutely crucial and non-negotiable moving forward. Beginning with Wroth, Strategists will be required to use the pledge manager of any given campaign to receive their Strategist rewards. What this means is that if you fail to use the pledge manager of a campaign before it closes to claim your rewards, those rewards will be lost and unavailable for you to claim in the future.

We understand that this may feel like a harsh shift in policy, but allow us to explain. Our Strategist pool now sits at 400+. We love this! We have no intention of stopping the Strategist train anytime soon. It’s so much fun to have you all in the mix, and we continue to be able to very comfortably afford to handle your rewards. However, with this many Strategists in the pool, it’s becoming nigh impossible for us to effectively and affordably track who has claimed their rewards, particularly on historical campaigns. In the last 12-18 months, we’ve had a number of Strategists who had clearly stopped following what CTG was doing and releasing, and subsequently asked for us to retroactively send thousands of dollars worth of product from campaigns that they missed. Though it may not seem like it, this is a huge logistical burden for us, and not a burden we can carry any longer. Each time this happens, we are required to do a significant amount of legwork to check and prove that rewards have or have not been claimed across a myriad of campaigns (and platforms, from Kickstarter to Gamefound to CrowdOx to Pledge Manager). This also can create stock issues for products that are out of stock or between prints.

So, please make sure you stay current on our campaigns and claim your rewards while campaigns are active! Moving forward, this will be a requirement. Because our Elder Scrolls: Betrayal of the Second Era has nearly our entire catalog available, if you have missed out on any previous rewards, please get in contact with us ASAP so we can use the TES: BotSE pledge manager as a final chance to catch you up on any missed rewards to this point. After the TES pledge manager closes, the new policy will formally be in place moving forward.

Of course, this new policy may upset some of you, or you may feel it violates the terms with which you bought into the Strategist program. No problem! Our support team is ready to work with you to refund any amount of your original Strategist pledge, minus the value of any products you’ve claimed. We don’t expect any of you to take us up on that, especially mere months before delivering The Elder Scrolls, but know that it’s an option if you find this policy does not meet your expectations.
